How to Beat General Krauser

Defeat the General's Subordinates First
General Krauser is accompanied by two General's Subordinates in both his Valley and Edoras Gate encounter.
You'll need to defeat both subordinates since General Krauser has a move where the subordinates will prevent you from dealing weakness damage to him, which will make taking down the boss more difficult.
The two subordinates are weak to Polearms, Axes, Staves, Fire, and Wind damage so focus on breaking their shields and bursting them down first to make fighting the main boss easier.
Debuff the Boss with Physical Attack Down
General Krauser and his subordinates all use physical attacks, so debuffing them with Phys. Atk. Down will make the fight in both encounters easier.
The Protagonist with the Thief job can reliably inflict this debuff with Shackle Foe and lasts for two turns. It's also an SP-efficient skill, so you can keep using this skill throughout the fight to keep General Krauser's offenses down.

Valley of Death: West During El the Swordsman Quest
General Krauser is first fought during the El the Swordsman quest in the Valley of Death: West as you approach the main camp.
Castle Edoras Gate During Princess Elrica Quest
General Krauser is once again fougth alongside his subordinates during the Princess Elrica quest as part of the Edoras Forces that you need to defeat as you storm the castle.
General Krauser and his two subordinates are fought in the last wave of soldiers before confronting King Pardis III.
