Have Characters that Can Inflict His Weakness in the Back Row
Gonska the Jester can use an attack called Bewitchment which inflicts the No Switch status. Characters affliced by this cannot switch rows for three turns, which can be troublesome if you moved a healer or support unit to the front.
We recommend placing characters that can inflict dagger, bow, staves, ice, and light damage at the back so that they can still lower the boss' shield even if they can't switch back when hit by this move.
Use Ice and Light Attacks
Gonska the Jester will change his weakness every time he recovers from a shield break. Fortunately, he's always weak to Ice and Light damage whenever he swaps so we recommend brining characters that can inflict these damage types for the boss fight.
The Protagonist with the Scholar job is a good choice for this fight since they can use Blinding Light. Delitia is another good character to use since she can use Ice skills such as Ice Boulder and can also deal bow damage.
Keep Your Team's HP Up Throughout the Fight
Gonska can buff himself with Phys.Atk.Up after recovering from a shield break, and can also use boosts himself to deal massive damage to your team. He can easily KO several characters if you fail to break him in time.
We recommend you keep your entire team's HP up throughout the fight in the event you fail to break his shield in time. We recommend you bring both Saoirse and Pius for this fight for constant healing.
Saoirse can use Dance of Respite to grant HP generation for the entire front or back row for two turns. Meanwhile, Pius provides burst healing with Heal Wounds, which restores the HP of the entire front or back row.
