During Bestower of All Chapter 7, you’ll briefly control Sazantos and encounter a bookshelf puzzle inside the Cathedral of Ash. The game asks you to determine which book should be placed first, but the answer isn’t immediately obvious.

When interacting with the bookshelf, choose the option to Recall Taigan’s Words. Doing so reveals a clue on the screen: “Turn knowledge into a weapon and overrule fate with your own strength.”
This line directly references the themes associated with the statues found in the center of the cathedral. Dreisang represents wisdom, which aligns with the idea of knowledge, Balogar is associated with weapons, Winnehild talks about strength, and Steorra tackles fate. By following the order implied by the clue, you arrive at the correct sequence for placing the books.
How to Get the Books for the Puzzle
Talk to the Two NPCs First

Although the books are tied to the statues themselves, you won’t be able to obtain them immediately. Before examining the statues, you must gather the necessary information using the Inquire Path Action on two NPCs.
The Dedicated Cleric can be found in a room to the left, while Deacon Guillaume is located in the far-right room nearby. Speaking to both NPCs and inquiring successfully will unlock access to the books.
Examine the Statues in the Cathedral of Ash
After gathering the required information, return to the center of the Cathedral of Ash, where the statues are displayed. Each statue can now be examined to obtain its corresponding book.
Once all four books have been collected, head to the room on the left with the bookshelf and place the books in the correct order.
