Head to Sufrataljah Sands

Esperre Encounter
During Bestower of Wealth Chapter 3, travel to Sufrataljah Sands and speak with Esperre. He explains that a Colossal Blightant is threatening the area and you offer to fight it.

First Encounter with the Colossal Blightant

Esperre Colossal Blightant
Begin the fight against the Colossal Blightant. Your party will be wiped out during this encounter, and you later awaken in Esperre’s home. He notes that despite being exposed to the creature’s corruption, your body shows no signs of necrosis. You tell him that you will face the Colossal Blightant again and defeat it.

Defeat the Colossal Blightant and Recruit Esperre

Esperre Recruitment
Return to Sufrataljah Sands and fight the Colossal Blightant again, defeating it this time. After the battle, Esperre learns that the reason behind your resistance is your favorite dish. You share the recipe with him, and he chooses to accompany you and joins your party.
