The boss will change its weakness every time it recovers from a shield break through all his three forms. Fortunately, any weakness that you've already identified or discovered will remain visible even when he changes forms.

Characters with the Analyze skill like Alexia are good picks for this fight, as well as those that can inflict different damage types using their skills.

Stock Up on Herbs of Valor to Cure Dread

King Pardis III can inflict the Dread status effect in all his forms, which will prevent BP recovery at the end of a turn on afflicted characters. He can inflict this with his regular attacks as well as Unyielding Blade of Ruin and lasts for three turns.

You'll want to stock up on Herbs of Valor to cure this status effect since lack of BP will make breaking his shield more difficult, prolonging the fight and making you more susceptible to his other powerful attacks.

Watch Out for His Counterattack Stance

King Pardis III will periodically switch to a counter attack stance where he will retaliate with a powerful attack based on the attacks you've inflicted on him. To avoid getting hit by a counterattack, you'll want to use magic attacks when he's counterattacking against physical attacks.

Conversely, if he starts bracing against magic attacks, switch to physical attacks to avoid getting hit. Break his shield to remove his counterattack stance so you can freely attack him with powerful skills.
