The Arrow of Fortune Job Skill gives JP by launching a powerful bow attack on a single foe. The more damage you deal, the more JP you receive.
The protagonist can learn this skill. Choose or change their job to Merchant and prioritize learning this skill early. You may also have Carinda use this skill.

If you link your Octopath Traveler 2 saved data, you can place down the Blue Octopuff Statue in your town to increase the amount of JP you gain after each battle.
How to Link Save Data From Other Games
Caits are unique enemies that are randomly encountered across the map. Successfully a Cait grants the player 3000 Leaves, 1200 EXP, and 150 JP.
They are very rare to encounter, are hard to hit, and will escape if you don't kill them fast enough. It is best to prepare to defeat them as fast as possible.

You may utilize Support Skills that increase JP gain. Note that equipping multiple characters with these skills will have no added effect.

Defeating enemies in one turn will yield you bonus JP. Make sure to exploit weaknesses and use strong attacks when farming for JP.

You may gain JP by defeating enemies in battle. The more enemies you defeat in one battle, the more JP you will gain.

In the Menu, select Learn Skills under Skills. There, you can spend a character's JP to learn Battle Skills. Keep in mind that the JP cost will increase after each Skill you learn, so it is best to learn your most desired skills early on.
Learning a certain number Battle Skills, the character will automatically unlock their Support Skills. Unlock Battle Skills as soon as the character has enough JP in order to utilize Support Skills as soon as possible.
