Viator is a Playable character in Octopath Traveler 0. See the guide below to learn more about Viator's Job, how to recruit them, profile, and a list of the Skills they can learn.
| Chapter Unlock | Any time after the Prologue |
|---|---|
| Unlock Condition | Find him in Valore with a Crested Key in your inventory. Can be done after completing the Prologue. |
| Location | Valore |

Choose the Crested Key as one of your three starting belongings. If you did not select it, you can still find a Crested Key later in the game.
Head to Valore and go to the tavern. Talk to the NPC at the corner and a cutscene will trigger. If you have a Crested Key in your belongings, Viator will approach during the cutscene and mention that he also carries a Crested Key.
Viator explains that these keys are connected to the Eight Sacred Treasures. He asks to join your quest to seek out the remaining keys and becomes part of your party.

A warrior who is traveling in order to hone his skills. While he normally possesses a genteel demeanor, he is quite ferocious in battle. He goes to great lengths to ensure he looks presentable at all times, and even mends his own clothes. Lately, he has been distressed over the loss of his favorite sewing set.
| Rating | Explanation |
|---|---|
|
Good |
An offensive-leaning tank with good damage options, but he needs support to stay alive. |
Viator is a Warrior by default. This means that he can only use weapons related to the job, which are swords and polearms.
