This guide shows you all the missables and points of no return in Octopath Traveler 0 (Octopath 0). Read on for a list of all missables, points of no return, non-permanent decisions, and find out if there are missable characters!

List of Missables and Points of No Return
Wishvale Before Burning
The Wishvale you see at the beginning of the game will be gone after the events of the Prologue. It is best to explore the area to the fullest before starting the Enkindling.
Open Chests
There are chests in the town that disappear after the Prologue. Be sure to explore each house or building and check the map for any chests.
Use Path Actions on Townspeople
You may get items from the townspeople by using Path Actions on them. These items can only be obtained during the Prologue. Furthermore, some of the characters in this portion of the game will not return later on.
Side Story Scenes Cannot Be Replayed
The Journal in the Menu can be used to replay Main Story scenes and Party Chats. However, you cannot replay Side Story scenes.
This means that if you skip the dialogue, you will not be able to read it in the same save file. If the Side Story has other dialogue options, you will also be unable to explore the ones you did not choose.

Player Character's Job
You can choose a Job for your character at the beginning of the game. The ones that you did not choose can still be unlocked by learning 5 skills for the most recently unlocked Job.
Player Character's Appearance
You can change your Protagonist's features by unlocking the Salon at the beginning of Chapter 3 of the Kindlers of Flame Story.
Do note that also need to invite an NPC that can change certain aspects of your character, like your Favorite Dish or Name, but hair can always be changed at the Salon.
Character Creation Guide
Dialogue Choices
Most dialogue choices will ultimately lead to the same story outcome in the end. At most, they will show alternate dialogue, but the next plot points will remain the same.
You can also replay the cutscenes via the journal to try and pick the alternate option and its resulting dialogue.

There are No Missable Playable Characters
Each playable character can be recruited as long as you have reached the conditions required to do so. You may opt to continue your other quests first without having to worry about missing any characters.
