Break Monaris Before the Countdown Ends
Monaris the Monstrous applies a countdown effect to himself at the start of the battle. If the countdown reaches zero before he is broken, Monaris will unleash a powerful attack that can easily overwhelm your party.
To stop this, focus on breaking Monaris’ shields before the countdown ends. Monaris is vulnerable to Sword, Fan, and Axe attacks, so use BP-boosted normal attacks, along with Lightning and Darkness based multi-hit skills, to break him quickly and interrupt the countdown.
Use Aelfric's Favor to Deal With Silence
Monaris can inflict Silence, preventing affected party members from using skills and disrupting your damage output during the fight.
If key party members are silenced, use the protagonist’s Ultimate skill, Aelfric’s Favor, to remove the debuff while healing your party at the same time. If the Ultimate is not ready, an Herb of Clamor can be used as an alternative to quickly cleanse Silence.
Finish Monaris Off While He Is Broken
Once Monaris is broken, focus on dealing as much damage as possible. While broken, Monaris cannot act and takes increased damage from all attacks.
Use your strongest skills during this window to end the fight quickly. Reime’s boosted Stormblade and Alexia’s Darkblight are effective options that can help defeat Monaris before he has a chance to recover.
