How to Beat Auguste the Playwright

Break His Shield to Remove Fatal Sentence
Auguste the Playwright will periodically inflict Fatal Sentence on a random character, which will instantly kill them once it runs out. You need to break Auguste's shield before the time runs out to prevent an instant KO.
Boost your character's atacks and focus on dealing Sword, Polearm, Axe, Ice, and Dark damage to quickly deplete and break Auguste's shield to stun him and prevent him from using Fatal Sentence.
Prioritize Breaking the Ruinous Rancor
Once Auguste tranforms into his second form, he'll be accompanied by a Ruinous Rancor which will create a deadly field and inflict Fatal Sentence on a random character during the fight.
Focus on breaking the Ruinous Rancor's shield first to remove the deadly field and the risk of a Fatal Sentence so you can focus on the main boss during the fight! Multi-hit attacks like Alexia's Duskblight is useful for this fight since it hits twice, and also damages the main boss.
Use Analyze to Determine the Boss' Weakness
Auguste the Prince of Thieves will change his weakness a total of three times during the fight, so it's a good idea to have a character like Alexia use Analyze to determine his weakness so you can speed up breaking his shield.
If you don't break his shield in time when he starts readying for a big attack, he will use Ire of the Prince of Thieves attack which will hit all of your front row characters for high damage and can easily kill several of your character if they're not at full health.
