Defeat the Cavalries With AoE Attacks
Captain Na’gu begins the battle alongside two Cavalries, which should be dealt with immediately to reduce incoming pressure. Leaving them alive allows Na’gu to benefit from buffs and additional attacks that can quickly overwhelm your party.
A reliable way to clear the opening is to bring Pius and Alexia. Have Pius use his Ultimate, Scales of Justice, to lower the Physical Defense and Elemental Defense of all enemies while boosting your party’s attacks. Follow this with Alexia’s Ultimate, Ancient Magic, to deal massive AoE damage and defeat both Cavalries at once, leaving only Captain Na’gu to fight.
Adapt to Captain Na’gu’s Weakness Switching
Captain Na’gu changes his weaknesses as the fight progresses, making it important to adjust your attack types. At the start of the battle, he is weak to Swords, Bows, Fans, Fire, and Dark.
Once his HP drops to around 50%, Na’gu switches to a different set of weaknesses: Ice, Lightning, Wind, and Light. After he recovers from a break, his weaknesses will revert to the initial set, causing this cycle to repeat. Paying attention to these shifts helps avoid wasted turns and keeps your damage consistent.
