The time limit is more like 8 mins; Hu che'er's diaglog includes "Oh, you mean to save Cao Cao's bodyguard?" and you must defeat him (and the other officers) before Dian Wei says "I'll take you all on". As the other commenter said, Dian Wei will say "*Huff* *huff*..." before the Fate Altered text.
You dont need to do this in 11 minutes, you can beat the mission in that time without saving dian wei. You need to get clear the way to the northwestern gate as fast as possible to set up the ladders. If you dont clear it fast enough you won't hear the proper dialogue.
If you've done it successfully, Dian Wei says "*Huff* *huff* ... What's this? Their numbers are thinning ..."
