+Res/-Spd

The best IVs for Faye are +Res and -Spd. A +Res IV helps her in tanking magic attacks in the enemy phase, a niche where she does well in. Her Spd is low and quite unreliable. She does not rely on Spd to score follow-up attacks as her special effect refine does that for her. This means that you can safely take Spd as a superbane.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a defensive build for Faye that aims to have her tank ranged hits as much as possible. Null C-Disrupt allows her to take hits from healers running the Dazzling-Wrathful combination and retaliate.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a Close Counter build for Faye using her weapon refine. Close Counter allows her to counterattack regardless of range, while Special Spiral lowers the cooldown of her Special. Close Def 3 boosts her defenses while attacked by a melee unit, while Atk Smoke 3 debuffs her target and their nearby allies after combat.

We recommend the Special Effect Refine for Bow of Devotion

Faye's kit is centered on the enemy phase and picking up this special effect refine definitely helps with that. Since the original effect of Bow of Devotion already leads her into baiting attacks from enemies, the special effect refine that grants a Quick Riposte effect definitely helps! It patches Faye's weakness of not being able to score frequent follow-up attacks allowing her to deal lots of damage in the enemy phase. Take note that the trigger condition for this Quick Riposte effect is even easier to activate than Quick Riposte 3 as it only requires at least 50% HP to activate. You will surely have no trouble staying in the HP range considering Faye's bulk and that she has heals are coming from Noontime.

Faye is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Faye Strengths

Bow of Devotion is a great weapon in the enemy phase

You can read about Bow of Devotion's effects and impact on Faye's kit in the special effect refine section. In short, Bow of Devotion grants bonus stats and guaranteed follow-up attacks to Faye in the enemy phase. This is an effect far from her other weapon, the Firesweep Bow+, which makes her a player phase threat.

Prevents Counterattacks with Firesweep Bow+

Firesweep Bow+ makes Faye a useful player phase unit as it prevents enemies from scoring counterattacks against her. The downside to this is that she too can not score counterattacks on enemies. Take note that she has a weapon that is very different from Firesweep Bow+ in Bow of Devotion. The former makes her a player phase exclusive unit and the latter turns her into a enemy phase threat as discussed above. Know the ins and outs of both bows and pick a bow to use according to the situations you plan to use Faye in!

Level up Sword Allies with Bow Exp.

Her C skill Bow Exp. is useful for training other units. As long as she survives, bow allies gain extra exp., meaning she can help you train allies more efficiently.

Faye Weaknesses

Hard to deal damage in some situations

Bow of Devotion is the only bow in Faye's base kit that helps her deal more damage. Noontime does not provide extra damage nor does Wings of Mercy and Bow Exp.

Unfortunately, Bow of Devotion's effects, including the special effect refine, only works in the enemy phase. This makes her unable to dish-out consistent damage in the player phase. This is compounded by her low Spd making her unable to score frequent follow-up attacks. Pair her up with a player phase powerhouse such as Reinhardt or Brave Lyn to help patch this weakness.
