    I found that instead of Beelining to Guan Yu Heading completely west and taking the two bases that Liu Bei and Zhang Fe go through slows down their movement to Cao Cao. Also you take out the two officers that accompany them too which further hindrances their movement. Guan Yu DID start to head to the Watergate about half health but then was completely ambushed by 5+ of Shu officers. Will say if you can hold the True Mushu for near the end, If he tries to escape you can use the pursuit attack
