Conrete Terrain is most prominent in the Groove Layer among others in Donkey Kong Bananza. Find out where to find concrete terrain, how to break it fast, and how to complete Smashintone’s challenges.
List of Contents

Concrete terrain appears in many places, but if you're farming it efficiently, head to the Groove Layer (SL 1300), specifically the far-right pillar in the corridor that splits into three paths.
This spot features a small patch of concrete you can quickly destroy, then reset the terrain to farm it again and again. It’s fast and repeatable.

Transform into Kong Bananza and mash out a flurry of punches. Concrete breaks quickly under his attacks, and a steady rhythm will melt through each structure in seconds.
Once you’ve cleared it all, just reset the terrain and punch it out again.

You can stay in Kong form longer by equipping certain skills or costumes. Boosting your transformation time increases your efficiency, so invest your skill points or fossils if you’ve got them to spare.
You can also break concrete by throwing a Boomrock at it. These explosive dark purple rocks or boulders are often found embedded on walls and other rocky surfaces, and are often found in spots close to concrete.
These concrete walls often contain gold, so it's always a good idea to break any concrete walls or surfaces you may come across.

Concrete, like thorns, doesn’t respawn on its own. Once you've smashed it all, press (-) to open the map, then hit (+) to reset the ruin. This revives all terrain so you can repeat the cycle and keep farming.

Smashintone’s concrete-breaking challenge is located in the Groove Layer, near the Disco Hall. You’ll need to destroy a total of 30,000 m³ of concrete terrain.
With Kong Bananza and terrain resets, this challenge becomes a quick and repeatable task. Once complete, return to Smashintone and grab your Banandium Gem.
