How to Play 2 Player Co-Op
Local Co-Op is Possible Through GameShare
Local Co-Op is possible through the GameShare feature. The game can be playable if players initiate their GameShare in their Nintendo Switch 2 consoles, with only 1 player being required to have access to the game.
This means that you can share the game with a player as long as they also have a Switch 2 console via GameShare. Additionally, you can also share the game with players that only have the Switch console.

How 2 Player Co-Op Works in Donkey Kong Bananza
2 Player Co-Op Mode Featuring Donkey Kong and Pauline
Donkey Kong Bananza lets you play the entire game in 2-player co-op mode. Player 1 controls Donkey Kong with his usual combat-heavy kit, while Player 2 becomes Pauline, who assists with voice-based attacks and material copying.
The feature is built for couch play or online and can even be done using just one copy of the game.
Donkey Kong Gameplay
As Donkey Kong, you will have access to his default moveset in the game. This means that you will have access to Donkey Kong's primary abilities such as Dive Punch, Swing, Hand Slap, and many more.
Pauline Gameplay
As Pauline, you can provide support for Donkey Kong as you unleash vocal blasts toward enemies or nearby objects. You can also copy the material of selected terrain to unleash unique vocal blasts.
