Collect Gold to Gain Bananergy
By collecting Gold, you can build up your Bananergy Meter as seen on the lower left corner of your screen.
Once the meter is filled, press and hold the L and R shoulder buttons to drum your chest and transform!
By collecting Gold or Banandium Chips, you can build up your Bananergy Meter, shown on the lower-left corner of your screen. This is your key to going Bananza Mode.
Once the meter is full, press and hold the L and R shoulder buttons to drum your chest and activate your transformation!
All Bananza Transformations and Forms
Pick Up A Banandium Gem
Grabbing a Banandium Gem instantly fills your Bananergy Meter to max. These are found in the overworld and appears as a huge glowing banana which you'll need to destroy in order to acquire the gem.
Punch and Munch through Banandium Melons
Aside from chips and gold, you can also use Banandium Melon. These bad boys can be consumed infinitely to top up your meter as much as you need, just keep punching and munching.

Melon Juice is a shop item that lets you skip the grind and immediately trigger Bananza Mode, even if your Bananergy Meter is totally empty. It's a solid backup option for boss fights or sticky moments.
Take a Nap at a Getaway
Need a break from the grind? Head to a Getaway and take a nap to fully restore your Bananergy Meter.
These rest spots are especially useful before heading into boss fights or deep exploration zones.

As you gather Banandium Gems, DK gains Skill Points. These can be spent to increase the amount of time he can spend in Bananza Form by upgrading the Bananergy Skill.

Equip Beneficial Clothing
Certain clothing items, like the Bananergy Tie or the Battle Bow Tie, will increase the amount of Bananergy you can obtain from collecting gold and defeating enemies respectively. Make sure to have these equipped if you find yourself lacking in Bananergy at times of need.

What Does Bananergy Do?
Used to Perform Bananza Transformations
Once the Bananergy meter is filled, press and hold the L and R shoulder buttons to transform! This will slowly consume your Bananergy Meter until it runs out and revert back to regular DK.
Once in a Bananza Form, you can freely swap between transformations by pressing the left and right buttons on your D-pad. Make use of your transformations to delve deeper in the underground.
