You can skip either the Freezer or Forest Layer by pulling off a Bananza trick at the Junction in Donkey Kong Bananza. Find out how to skip layers, what layers can you skip, and the difference it makes in the game!

After finishing the Freezer Layer and unlocking the Zebra Bananza, you can head to the Junction and use this form to completely bypass the Forest Layer.
Just perform a Charge Dash, line up the jump, and barrel through to the other side. Check the video above for the right angle and timing, it’s all about precision.
How to Unlock and Use Zebra Bananza Form
Likewise, if you finish the Forest Layer first and unlock the Ostrich Bananza, you can glide over the gap in the Junction and completely skip the Freezer Layer.
It’s much easier than the Zebra version, as you just need to flap across.
How to Unlock and Use Ostrich Bananza Form
Don’t have either form? You can still skip, just not easily. You’ll need to grab a terrain and Turf Surf twice as you near the edge and jump! Next, follow it up with a Chunk Jump once you're halfway there, then roll and punch your way across the gap.
This one’s the hardest method by far and requires tight timing.

You can only skip one layer, not both. You must complete either the Freezer or Forest Layer first and get either the Ostrich or the Zebra Bananza form and reach the Junction.

Skipping a layer is great for speedrunners since it cuts out one full zone. But it also means you’ll miss the Bananza form tied to that area.
So if you skip the Freezer Layer, you won’t get Zebra Bananza. If you skip Forest, say goodbye to Ostrich Bananza. That can make later areas harder, especially puzzles or combat designed around having both forms.
