To perform a Chunk Jump, you first need to be holding a chunk before jumping. Once you are holding a chunk, jump with the A button and press it again to throw the chunk downwards and launch Donkey Kong upwards.

You can get chunks by tearing off the terrain with Tear Off. DK will grab a piece of the terrain and hold it above his head, which you can then use to Chunk Jump.
Chunk Jump essentially acts as your double jump, as using the move will launch DK upwards and gain more height after initially jumping.
You can use this move to reach platforms that DK can't reach with his normal jumps.

Chunk Junk can be upgraded using Skill Points, which you will get as you collect Banandium Gems.
Upgrading this move will make the chunk that DK throws to the ground get more impact, which can be used to damage enemies below you.
