All 3 Endings Explained
Normal Ending
The Normal Ending shows Pauline busking on the street with a text on the bottom implying there is more post-game content to look forward to after.
This is the ending that you obtain after defeating the final boss in the main story.
Rehearsal Hall Ending
The Rehearsal Hall Ending shows Pauline in the Diva Dress performing a concert in New Donk City. Donkey Kong can be seen on the left corner.
You need to complete all the Rehearsal Halls, head to Planet Core, and make a wish to the Banandium Root to get this ending.
Secret Ending
The Secret Ending shows a similar screen as the Rehearsal Hall Ending but it now includes the animal NPCs and a Fractone in the audience. You can also see this after wishing to go to the surface at the Planet Core after completing everything.
How to Unlock the Secret Ending
Get 777 Banandium Gems and 696 Fossils
To unlock the Secret Ending, you must get all 777 Banandium Gems and 696 Fossils. This requires you to complete all Challenge Ruins, solve Fractone puzzles in various Layers, and complete post-game content that rewards Banandium Gems.
Take note that you also need to spend all the Fossils to get the A Complete Fossil Collection Banana and complete the Banana list.

What Happens in the Secret Ending?
Pauline Performs in New Donk City
After the events of the Normal Ending, Pauline reunites with Donkey Kong and tells him that she's performing a live show at the city hall. She suggests to go to the Elders to help her come up with a new song.
After completing the rehearsal halls and obtaining all Bananas and Fossils, the two make their way in the Planet Core to make their wish to the Great Banandium Root.
Post-Credits Explained
The post-credits show Pauline performing in front of a crowd in New Donk City. Her outfit, consisting of a red hat and red dress, resembles the one she wears in Super Mario Odyssey.
