Cranky Kong Locations Per Layer

| Lagoon Layer |
 In SL100, head to the highest central peak near the green pipe cluster. (SL 100) |
| Hilltop Layer |
 From the Warp Gong, look right of the main banana bunch to spot Cranky on a floating platform above a lone banana. (SL 200) |
| Canyon Layer |
 After the Mixer boss, in the next area with the Hideout and Growtone, Cranky is just ahead along the main path. (SL 300) |
| The Divide |
 In the mid-level area with the blue and pink gel blocks, look above the stone tablet to spot Cranky on a floating cloud platform. (SL 400) |
| Freezer Layer |
 From the top Cooling Tower checkpoint, exit through the left iced window, then immediately turn right and climb the wall behind the tower. (SL 500) |
| Forest Layer |
 As you leave the ostrich village toward Eggshell Hotel, look right across the mud to spot a large tree. Climb it and follow the branch pointing toward the hotel. (SL 600) |
| The Junction |
 Before crossing the big stone bridge, go to the checkpoint above the Warp Gong. (SL 700) |
| Resort Layer |
 Behind the stores on the right side of the Layer, drop into the ocean past the plateau with three breakable strawberries. Look for a small seaweed-covered cave under the rock. (SL 800) |
| Tempest Layer |
 In SL902’s spa, head to the back-left corner, away from the main path to find Cranky. (SL902) |
| Landfill Layer |
 In Trashtopia (SL1000), from the central checkpoint, head toward the reddish-lit cave in the far upper-left, near the drum cannon. (SL 1000) |
| Racing Layer |
 Drop below the podium behind Diddy and Dixie to find a monkey eyeing a glowing triangle on a wall. Smash above it to uncover Cranky’s secret lair. (SL 1100) |
| Radiance Layer |
 In SL1203, head to the serpent town plaza with a central pool. Cranky is perched atop the left icy serpent statue. (SL 1203) |
| Groove Layer |
 In the center room, upper right, a Fractone blocks a door by turning to stone. Open it to find Cranky inside. (SL 1300) |
| Feast Layer |
 In SL1401’s big slime-filled room, turn around from the entrance, smash the pallet, and drop into a hidden tunnel. (SL 1401) |
| Forbidden Layer |
 At the third platform near the circular spiky hub backdrop, activate the Securitone and use the Passage Stone to reach the high platform above. (SL 1500) |
| Planet Core |
 At the lowest sublayer of the Planet Core, just before the blocked rail track you’ll smash with Kong Bananza, look left. (SL 1600) |
| Ingot Isle |
 After finishing the main story, return to Ingot Isle’s hub. Climb the pink scaffolding above the shops and Chip Exchange to find Cranky near the glowing letters at the top. (SL 10) |

Most of them can be found during your main story run, but one tricky Cranky only shows up after you’ve completed the game!

Receive A Banandium Gem Upon Finding Cranky Kong
Just by tracking him down and having a quick chat, Cranky Kong will reward you with a Banandium Gem!
He’s also always hanging out with Rambi. While you can’t hop on and ride Rambi, seeing him is a fun little nod that you’ve found the right place.
