King K. Rool has been a staple in the Donkey Kong franchise, most famously known as the archenemy of Donkey Kong. His appearance in this game marks the enduring testament of his rivalry with Donkey Kong.
His addition to the game as the final boss suits his villainous nature against Donkey Kong and his allies, given that his looming presence toward the Kongs only meant something nasty or despicable.
