Press NSW - Y while holding a chunk

Press the Y button while Donkey Kong is holding a chunk to swing it around. You can use this move to attack enemies or destroy terrain and even obstacles, like thorns and rocks.

Get Chunks with Tear Off

Tear Off

You can get chunks by tearing off the terrain with Tear Off. DK will grab a piece of the terrain and hold it above his head, which you can then swing around.

Swing Chunk Effects

Damages Enemies

DK can swing the chunks he is holding to damage enemies. This is useful especially for enemies that he can't directly contact with his punches.

Chip Away Terrain

Chunks can also be used to chip away rocks and terrain to clear some ground. This method is faster than punching and digging as DK's swing covers a wide area, but do note that chunks slowly get smaller per swing.

All Terrain Types and Interactions

Safely Destroy Thorns

Chunks can also be used to destroy thorns that DK can't punch directly. If you see towering thorns nearby, grab a chunk and use it to destroy them.
