How to Throw Chunks

Press ZR Button While Holding a Chunk

Throw Chunks
Press NSW - zR to throw chunk

You can throw a chunk that Donkey Kong is holding by pressing the ZR button. This will make DK throw the chunk in front of him or towards an enemy.

Controls and Movement

Get Chunks with Tear Off

Tear Off

You can get chunks by tearing off the terrain with Tear Off. DK will grab a piece of the terrain and hold it above his head, which you can then throw.

Hold NSW - zR to aim

You can also manually aim where DK will throw the chunk if you hold the ZR button. You can then move the camera and select where you want to throw the chunk.

Throw Chunks Effects

Throw Debris to Damage Enemies

Chunks can be thrown towards enemies to defeat them from far away. This is also a good way to defeat flying enemies that DK can't reach.

Throw Bombs or Gold Nuggets for Explosions

Obsidian-looking Boom Rocks and gold boulders can be thrown towards and area and cause explosions. This will help you excavate terrain much faster due to the blast.

Throw Soft Materials to Build Platforms

Soft materials like dirt and grass can be thrown to build platforms that you can use to build bridges and footholds. These won't destroy walls, but you can utilize them to reach places you normally can't.
