Obtainable Upgrades During Emerald Rush

Choosing Emerald Perks

Emerald Perks are upgrades that you can get during Emerald Rush. These are specialized passives that help DK get more emerald ores during your runs.

Breaking fossils and Banandium Gems that give skills and completing Void Kong's goals will give you the option to select from three perks, along with the option to reroll.

Pick Same Perk to Level Up Perk

Upgrading Emerald Perks

You can improve any perks you've obtained during a run by picking the same perk again. This will increase the boost from the perk, which can help you get more emerald!

Raise Rating to Unlock More Perks

Unlock More Emerald Perks

You can unlock more perks to choose from as you raise your Emerald Rush rating. This rating will naturally increase as you complete runs regardless if you can complete it or not.

Use Emerald Chips to Block Perks

Blocking Perks

After reaching a rating of 2000 and watching the credits for the DLC, you'll be able to block perks from appearing during your current run in exchange for some Emerald Chips.

The cost required to remove perks from the pool of available ones will get more expensive as you use this mechanic, but it is a great way to get the best perks that can help you in your current run.

Do note that this is not permanent as all perks will be available again in your future runs.
