You can transform by holding down L and R to drum your chest in Donkey Kong Bananza. Read on to learn more about how to drum your chest, and what it will do.

Hold Down L and R at the Same Time

Donkey Kong Chest Drum

You can get Donkey Kong to drum his chest by holding down both the L and R buttons at the same time.

If the Bananza Meter is Full, Drum Chest to Transform

When the Bananergy Meter in the lower left corner is full, hold down L and R at the same time to drum your chest and perform a Bananza Power transformation.

Collect Gold to Gain Bananergy

Collecting Banandium Gold will fill up the Bananergy Meter, which you need in order to make transformations.

Kong Bananza grants DK incredible destructive power. It allows DK to plow through the world and smash even hard terrain.
Zebra Bananza
Zebra Bananza
Zebra Bananza boosts DK's mobility and swiftness. In this form, DK can run on surfaces of water, and across crumbling pathways.
Ostrich Bananza
Ostrich Bananza
Ostrich Bananza lets DK take to the sky. By spreading his wings, DK can ride updrafts, glide through the air, and drop egg bombs to unsuspecting enemies below.
Elephant Bananza
Elephant Bananza		 Elephant Bananza lets DK suck in and store terrain. Using his powerful snout suction, DK can absorb various types of terrain and save them for later use.
Snake Bananza
Snake Bananza		 Snake Bananza allows DK to jump higher than normal. Use this ability to reach elevated areas more easily, cutting down on tricky platforming.

Drumming your chest is how you can activate your Bananza Power transformation, which are power-ups granted by the Great Elders residing in the underground.

When in Bananza Power form, DK's skills and abilities will be boosted for a short amount of time, helping him in navigating treacherous terrain.

All Forms and Transformations

Switch Between Forms with Left and Right on the D-Pad

Once in a Bananza Form, you can freely swap between transformations by pressing the left and right buttons on your D-pad. Masterful use of transformations will allow for an even more fun adventure.
