A guide to completing the Rambi Race Minigame in Donkey Kong Bananza. See how to unlock the Rambi Race minigame, racing tips, rewards, race rules, controls, and location of the minigame.

At the start of the race, destroy the dirt terrain to fill up the gauge. This gauge lets you speed up and create liftoff slopes that you can ride on to create shortcuts on the race track.
If you are driving towards mud or water, activate lift off to jump over it.
There are two shortcuts on the race track that are accessible only if you lift off.
This shortcut takes you to the top of the tunnel at the latter half of the race track. It does not shorten the travel distance but does not contain any mud and water that can slow you down.
This is a shortcut found in the middle of the race track that lets you skip immediately to the finish line. Make sure to have the liftoff gauge filled up to create a slope that leads to a floating platform and on to the purple towers.

Completing the Regular Race is required to progress the main story. Winning the race on 1st place spawns a barrel that takes you to the Void Stake.
Defeating Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong in the Rowdy Race rewards you with one Banandium Gem.

| Regular Race | The default race |
|---|---|
| Rowdy Race | Converts the dirt terrain into mud |
There are two race types you can choose. The regular race is the same race type from the main story while the Rowdy Race is a more difficult race that converts the dirt terrain into mud.
Completing the Rowdy Race rewards you with one Banandium Gem.

Your only opponents on the race are Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong. Win the race at 1st place for the first time to progress the main story.

The race consists of three laps around the race track. You can use the slopes generated from the liftoff ores from the previous lap to speed up and aim for 1st place.

When you destroy the blue-colored terrain, your liftoff gauge will fill up. Activating the liftoff causes you to turbo and create a liftoff ore slope.
