What is in the Donkey Kong Bananza DLC?

DK Island and Emerald Rush

By purchasing this DLC, you’ll gain access to DK Island, Donkey Kong’s homeland, and a new mode called Emerald Rush, where the goal is to collect emeralds and set high scores.

New Location: DK Island

DK Island

DK Island can be accessible after progressing to the Racing Layer in the main story. DK's homeland features several landmarks such as DK's house, K. Rool's Ship, and Squawk's Cabin.

Emerald Rush

Once you clear the main story, you unlock Emerald Rush, a mode where you play as a Void Company employee collecting emeralds in search of riches.

During Emerald Rush, all gold across the island turns into emeralds. Just like gathering gold, you’ll want to collect as many emeralds as possible. You can rely on Emerald Perks to meet Void Kong's quotas!

The Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island and Emerald Rush DLC released on September 12, 2025 and is now available on the Nintendo eShop for $19.99 USD.

You can also purchase a digital bundle that includes both the base game and the DLC. However, there’s no discount for buying them together. The total still comes to $89.98 USD.
