Shows Main Quest Waypoint by Default

Shows Main Quest Waypoint by Default

Assist Mode shows main quest waypoint and the musical note trail that appears when whistling by default. This makes it easier for players to know where to go as the waypoint is always visible on the screen.

Reduces Damage Taken

Enabling Assist Mode reduces damage taken from enemy attacks and environmental damage such as lava, thorns, explosive items, and the like. This makes the gameplay easier during exploration, platforming sections, and in boss battles.

Only 100 Gold is Reduced Upon Dying

The death penalty on Assist Mode reduces Donkey Kong's Gold by 100 instead of 10% when playing on Normal Mode.

Health Regenerates Over Time

Health regenerates over time when playing in Assist Mode. Make sure to stand still to allow your health to regenerate as it will stop when you move around.
