To clear Smashintone challenges efficiently, it’s important to pick the right location instead of breaking terrain at random. Some spots let you destroy blocks repeatedly, sometimes even without moving, making it easier to hit destruction goals fast.
The type of terrain and layout can make a huge difference, so try to find a level where you can stay in one place and rack up progress just by continuously smashing.
To efficiently progress through destruction achievements, make use of the Bananza transformations like Kong Bananza and Elephant Bananza.
Kong Bananza increases your punching power and allows you to destroy hard terrain that’s normally indestructible. On the other hand, Elephant Bananza excels at clearing terrain through suction, making it especially effective for clustered or hard-to-reach blocks.
All Bananza Transformations and Forms
| Skill | Description |
|---|---|
Bananergy Upgrades |
Bananzas will last longer the higher the level of the skill is. |
Punch Power Upgrades |
Reduces the number of punches needed to break through high-durability terrain. |
Charge Punch Upgrades |
Boosts the range of destruction when you do a Charge Punch by holding Y during Kong Bananza transformations. |
Use and upgrade these skills to make your Bananza mode last longer and smash more terrain in one go. The longer your transformation lasts, the more ground you can cover.

Once you've cleared out all the breakable terrain in a Smashintone challenge area, don’t leave just yet! Reset the terrain to respawn everything and keep farming.
This is especially helpful when trying to complete destruction goals in a single visit.

After completing a destruction achievement for a specific terrain on each floor, a Banandium Gem will be awarded by speaking to a Smashintone.
Progress made prior to talking to them will still count, so there’s no need to worry about missing out, as long as the terrain has been cleared, the reward will be given once a Smashintone is found and spoken to.
All Banana Locations (Banandium Gems)

Open the map and press the Minus (-) Button to find the Smashin Stats Option.
This menu will display how much terrain has been cleared in each layer.

Alternatively, progress can be tracked by speaking directly to a Smashintone in any area.
They’ll report how much more terrain still needs to be destroyed before the challenge is complete, giving a quick snapshot without needing to open the menu.
