Farm Rock Terrain at the Hilltop Layer and the Canyon Layer in Donkey Kong Bananza. Find out where to find rocks, how to break it fast, and how to complete Smashintone’s rock terrain challenge.
List of Contents

Head to Fractone Village in the Hilltop Layer for an easy rock terrain grind. The area’s rocky plateau, both above and underground, is filled with breakable rocks, making it perfect for racking up Smashintone progress fast.

Over in the Canyon Layer, the highlands near Longneck Plateau Village are packed with rock terrain.
Just explore the area and start digging. There’s more than enough rocky ground here to hit your quota in no time.
The most efficient way to break rocks is by transforming into Kong Bananza and spamming punches like there’s no tomorrow.
The Bananergy Meter fills up as you collect gold, and if you dig efficiently, it’ll be full again by the time your transformation ends.

You can stay in Kong form longer by equipping certain skills or costumes. Boosting your transformation time increases your efficiency, so invest your skill points or fossils if you’ve got them to spare.
When you’re not transformed, grab a rock and swing it like a caveman with purpose. It’s the best way to clear terrain while your Bananergy Meter refills.

You’ll meet Smashintone near Fractone Village on the Hilltop Layer. He’ll challenge you to destroy 20,000 m³ of rock. Don’t stress out because the nearby rocky plateau has more than enough terrain to meet this quota.
Meet the requirement and return to him to receive a Banandium Gem as your reward!

Another Smashintone awaits near Longneck Plateau Village in the Canyon Layer. This time, you’ll need to destroy 30,000 m³ of rock, but again, the terrain is practically made of rocks, so you’ll hit that mark in no time.
Fulfill his request, then check back in to claim your Banandium Gem!
