In Donkey Kong Bananza, items will automatically activate the moment a specific condition is met, no manual use required. These effects are typically life-saving, restorative, or tied to special actions like transformations.
Balloons will automatically trigger when you fall into a bottomless area, lifting you back up to a safe platform. Apple Juice kicks in the moment your health is depleted, healing you instantly and saving you from a game over. Melon Juice activates when you drum your chest to transform but your Bananergy meter isn’t full, it forces the transformation anyway.

At Stuff Shops, you’ll be able to buy items using Gold collected throughout your adventure. These shops might appear in central hub areas, after major boss battles, or hidden throughout different layers.
Whether it’s recovery items, buffs, or special transformation tools, make sure to stock up before heading into tougher stages.

Aside from buying items at Stuff Shops, you can also find useful items hidden inside Treasure Chests scattered throughout the islands.
If you’re trying to farm Gold or collect rare items, it’s a good idea to equip the Treasure Tie neckwear, which boosts Treasure Chest spawn rates by 10%.
Items, such as a Red Balloon may also be found by breaking objects scattered around the overworld.
Smash crates or other destructible items to uncover extra consumables you can use on your adventure. It’s a great way to grab free items without spending gold at Stuff Shops.
