B!Alm's recommmended IVs are +Atk and -HP. With his superboon in Atk, B!Alm will gain an additional +4 Atk with an asset in this stat, which will also make his A slot skill deal more damage. With a +Spd IV, he will be able to get a follow-up on most foes, making it a good boon as well.

We recommend the Special Effect Refine for Dracofalchion

Dracofalchion's refine grants Alm the ability to move 1 extra space.

He'll gain Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 if he initiates combat or is not adjacent to an ally and also gain an additional +5 to those stats if his HP ≥ 25%.

And lastly, if his target is a sword, lance, bow, dagger, or beast unit and his Spd is higher than theirs, he'll nullify any effects that prevent him from making a follow-up attack while preventing them from counterattacking.

This refine is extremely stacked, as not only does it give Brave Alm the movement of a cavalry unit, but also the ability to one-shot almost any unit he engages combat with.

Paired with Scendscale, he will be dealing insane amounts of damage and his target cannot retaliate if their Spd is lower than his.

B!Alm is a close ranged physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Brave Alm's Strengths

Exclusive weapon grants a buff to all stats

If the number of foes within 2 spaces is greater than or equal to the number of allies, B!Alm's exclusive weapon Dracofalchion will grant him +5 to all stats.

Since this is a Spur / Drive skill, its effects will stack on top of any Hone or Fortify skills.

Since it is fairly easy to trigger, you can essentially always keep this buff active so long as you keep your allies' positions in mind.

The refine of his weapon also grants him an additional +5 to his stats, will enable him to move 1 extra space, and will also nullify any effects that prevent him from making follow-up attacks while also preventing his target from counterattacking if they are a sword, lance, axe, bow, dagger, or beast unit.

This makes Brave Alm a powerhouse of a player phase unit, as he doesn't have to worry about retaliation.

Exclusive skill can deal 25% of his attack as damage

Alm's exclusive A skill Scendscale will deal an additional 25% of his Atk as damage. The higher his Atk stat is, the more damage it will deal, so pairing him up with support units like Legendary Azura or Kaden is a sure way to give him buffs and increase his firepower.

Low Res stat leaves him weak to magic attackers

While B! Alm's base stat is rather high, Res leaves something to be desired. He can easily fall at the hands of blue mages, so be sure to keep him out of their reach.

Dracofalchion allows B!Alm to gain a +5 buff to all stats when the number of nearby enemies outnumbers the number of allies. Therefore, having multiple units on the same team like Fallen Tiki or Fallen Corrin who can gain a bonus when soloing will allow you to make use of their skills simultaneously.

Thanks to his A slot skill Scendscale, B!Alm can deal damage equal to 25% of his Atk stat to foes, so having party members like Legendary Eliwood or Kaden with powerful buff skills will help him make the most of this. However, when pairing him with Kaden, make sure to keep in mind the foe to ally ratio so that the effects of Dracofalchion will remain active.
