| What Kind of Character Are They? | ・A good free-to-play unit with an exclusive weapon. ・Ancient Trickery grants HP+5, has built-in Sabotage Spd/Res, copies his nearby allies' stats, grants Xane bonus stats, true damage, and true DR on foe's first attack. |
|
Might: 14 Range: 2 Grants HP+5. At start of turn, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, inflicts Spd/Res-7 and 【Sabotage】 on closest foes and any foes within 2 spaces of those foes through their next actions. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res = 25% of foe's Atk at start of combat -4 (max 14; min 5), grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res = highest respective stat from among allies within 3 spaces - unit's stat values (calculates each stat bonus independently at start of combat; if unit's stat is highest, unit's stat will decrease), deals damage = 20% of unit's Spd (excluding area-of-effect Specials), and reduces damage from foe's first attack by 7 during combat ("first attack" normally means only the first strike; for effects that grant "unit attacks twice," it means the first and second strikes). |
|
Cooldown Count = 3 Treats foe's Def/Res as if reduced by 50% during combat. |
|
Inflicts Spd/Res-3 on foe and neutralizes effects that grant "Special cooldown charge +X" to foe or inflict "Special cooldown charge -X" on unit during combat. |
|
At the start of turn 1, grants Special cooldown count-1 to all infantry allies on team with HP < unit's HP. (Stacks with similar skills.) |

| See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Ancient Xane will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Ancient Xane are +HP and -Def. Due to Ancient Trickery having its stat copying ability, Xane's Atk/Spd/Def/Res aren't as important. HP is the one stat that isn't copied and is the best stat to boost with his superboon.
Xane's Def is his lowest stat and is the safest bane to take as it has the worst chance of being reduced from Ancient Trickery's stat copying ability. It is highly likely that you have an ally with higher Def than Xane.
We recommend a +HP IV when merging Ancient Xane up to +10 for similar reasons above.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Ancient Xane is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Res stat.
Ancient Xane's exclusive weapon Ancient Trickery has built-in HP+5 and inflicts Spd/Res-7 and 【Sabotage】 onto the closest foes and all foes within 2 spaces of the target foes at the start of each turn.
Ancient Trickery's most important effect is the ability to copy his ally's stats. Ancient Trickery grants Xane bonus Atk/Spd/Def/Res equal to the highest respective stat from among allies within 3 spaces minus Xane's own stat values.
・ For example, if Xane has a nearby ally with 43 Def, Ancient Trickery will grant Xane Def+20 (43 minus Xane's 23 Def).
It is worth noting that the copy ability still functions even if Xane's stats are the highest. Xane's combat stats will be reduced if his stats are higher than his allies.
・ For example, if the highest Spd stat among nearby allies is 42, Xane will be given Spd-4 (42 minus Xane's 46 Spd).
Ancient Trickery also grants Xane up to bonus Atk/Spd/Def/Res+14 based on his foe's Atk stat, bonus true damage equal to 20% of his Spd, and 7 true damage reduction on his foe's first attack.
Ancient Trickery copying the highest stats of nearby allies restricts teambuilding as it forces you to field units with high stats in each of Atk, Spd, Def, and Res in order to maximize Ancient Xane's strengths.
The stat copying ability has a generous range of 3 spaces away, making it easy for Xane to utilize it properly. However, if he is isolated from his allies, he will be reliant on his own average stats in combat.

Also, on the IV, wouldn't it be better to take a bane on the highest stat, so he would be better suited to making sure all his stats are lower than his teammates? Def,,as u said, is already low, so it will likely be raised anyways. If u reduce speed for example, it will make it more likely a teammate will have higher speed (& thus raise his speed). This is a new hero archetype for me, so I'm not entirely certain if this is how he works. I really like these heroes with unique aspects.

i forgot that u would have to change the special if u used LF4, but frost moon could be a good option. Then u wouldn't need the piercing aspect of tempo, either.
