Where to Find Liftoff Ores (Rainbow Terrain)
Found Everywhere in Resort Layer
You’ll start spotting Liftoff Ores as soon as you reach the Resort Layer (SL800). These rainbow-colored platforms are a core part of the terrain here, showing up in all kinds of platforming challenges.
Get used to them, you’ll be pulling, launching, and soaring with these things throughout your time in this layer.
Can Be Produced By Enemy Sharks
The enemy Rainbow Sharks create terrain. After you punch one, it creates a rainbow bridge made of Rainbow Terrain in the direction it was hit.
Time your attacks and aim that KO punch wisely as you might need that bridge to reach a high-up area or hidden path.
How To Use Liftoff Ores (Rainbow Terrain)
Pull It Off To Launch Yourself Upwards
Liftoff Ores work like natural launchers. Just grab and yank, then DK and Pauline will soar upward as long as you're holding the shard. Once it disappears, your airtime ends.
You'll need to master these to get through key story areas, or even hidden challenge ruins, and optional exploration puzzles.
