The Version 3.0 Patch in Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X) will go live on January 8, 2026, and will feature the first dual-element character in Frostgale Kotone, alongside a new Main Story Chapter update, a new game mode and various updates to some mechanics! New Character: Frostgale Kotone
The newest character added to the game is Frostgale Kotone, an alternate version of Mont. She is the very first dual element character, wielding both elements of Ice and Wind as an Assassin-type Persona-user!
Frostgale Kotone Character Guide
Main Story Chapter 3 Phase 3 Update
Phase 3 of Persona 5: The Phantom X's Main Story Chapter 3, Unconditional Love, is set to be available once Version 3.0 launches! Make sure to be up to date with the current in-game story to be able to play this new story chapter!
Palace Map Update
Chapter 3 Phase 3 is set to come with a new part of the Palace to explore! Make sure to explore the area once unlocked for challenges, treasure chests and boss fights!
New Story Tie-In Event
Much like the previous two Phases of Chapter 3, there will be another tie-in event to celebrate the release of Phase 3 of the current Main Story Chapter! Players can earn up to 1,280 Meta Jewels as they progress through the game and the story!
Login Bonus Campaign
In addition to the tie-in event, players can log in seven times during the event campaign's duration to receive up to seven Platinum Milicoins to use for the Weapon Banner gacha!
Synergy Update: Kotone Montagne
There seems to be an update to Kotone Montagne's Synergy, in tandem with the release of Frostgale Kotone!

Trial of the Astrolabe Game Mode
A new game mode called Trial of the Astrolabe will be added to the game in Version 3.0! This challenges players to use their entire roster of Phantom Thieves, as all characters will have limited times of usage as you progress!
Mindscape Update
The Mindscape is getting a big update, as the center area of each character's Mindscape can now be unlocked using the materials found in the new game mode, Trials of the Astrolabe!
New Music in Band Club
Two new tracks are being added to the Band Club minigame! Enjoy the new tracks being added, with tracks from the original Persona 5 being added!
New Weapon for Wonder: Abyss Fang
Wonder is set to recieve a new weapon called Abyss Fang, which improves his offensive capabilities like Attack, Damage and Critical Damage.
Lufel's Business Plan EX Update
After Version 3.0, Lufel's Business Plan will receive another update, adding Plan EX to the game. This level can be unlocked after players complete both Plan III and Plan IV!

New Rewards for Leveling Characters
All characters will receive additional rewards upon reaching Levels 75 and 80! These include characters you already have leveled up, so make sure to check your roster of characters and claim the prizes once Version 3.0 goes live!
