Meta Jewels and Cognition Crystals are the in-game and premium currencies for Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X). Read on to learn more about how to farm Meta Jewels, how to use them, and what they are here!

How to Farm Meta Jewels

Complete Daily Pass Missions
Always make sure to complete your daily pass missions at the Phantom Pass to provide you with 80 Meta Jewels per day. Try to complete the missions at least 4 times to fully claim your Meta Jewel rewards.
Participate in Events
You can easily get free Meta Jewels from the Catch Your Eye event by completing the required objectives. Do note that most of the objectives need you to log-in for up to 12 days.
Open Chests in the Metaverse
While exploring the Metaverse, you will often find a treasure chest nearby which can reward you with free Meta Jewels. Make sure to spend your time exploring as these chests can be missable if you are not aware.
Additional Map Exploration Rewards
Remember to claim the Progress rewards you get for progressing through Kiuchi's Palace. These rewards include a large amount of Meta Jewels and Wonder EXP.
Conquer the Trials
The Velvet Trials and Trials from the Sea of Souls are one of the most difficult content within the game but offers a huge amount of Meta Jewels. Make sure your party is well built and optimized before attempting to clear these Trials.
Submit Tickets at the Fare Machine
Once you have progressed enough at the Path of Qimranut, make sure to turn in the Train Tickets at the Fare Machine to obtain up to 700 Meta Jewels upon completion.
Complete Plans
You can also claim free Meta Jewels by completing Lufel's Business Plan. Although this only offers a small amount of Meta Jewels, it can also reward you with a 5-star character and various upgrade materials.
Purchase and Finish the Phantom Pass
Purchasing the premium Phantom Pass will instantly reward you with 650 Meta Jewels, while the Premium+ Pass will give you more rewards adding up to 1250 Meta Jewels.

How to Use Meta Jewels
Used for Contract Pulls

The main use of Meta Jewels are for pulling Contracts to obtain new characters for your team. Since there are only a limited amount of Golden and Platinum Tickets you can obtain from missions, it is best to spend your Meta Jewels to obtain more Tickets to help you pull for the character Contract you want to get.

Meta Jewels can also be used for restoring your Stamina Gauge to keep making runs on the Realm of Repression for farming materials. We do not recommend doing as this can be a huge waste of Meta Jewels that can be used for pulling more Contracts.

What are Meta Jewels?
Free Currency for Contract Pulls
Meta Jewels are the free in-game currency you can obtain by completing various missions and activities. These are mostly used for purchasing Golden and Platinum Tickets that are used for pulling Contracts.
What are Cognition Crystals?
Paid Currency
On the other hand, Cognition Crystals are paid currencies that you will have to spend real money on to obtain. Check out Marthym's Shop for all the bundles and sales you can claim in-game.
Do note that these function the same as Meta Jewels which can be used to pull Contracts for new characters.
