Tempest Riko specializes in buffing Critical Hits in general while supplying her team with a constant source of SP. Her buffs scale entirely around Critical Multipliers while also raising Attack Damage based on excess stats. She is currently the most consistent means of enabling critical hits for all team compositions, and she proves to be a solid team inclusion when only focusing on Palace progression, hence her tier placement!

Tempest Riko Skill Explanation
Start With Blossoming Season for Critical Hits
Blossoming Season is the bread-n'-butter skill of Tempest Riko, as your buffs will rely fully on the consistent Critical Hits this skill provides. Furthermore, it allows your Main DPS' Critical Hits to hit harder given the excess Critical Multiplier buffs.
You will recover your SP by using Tempest Riko's other skills in order to actively cycle this skill with the highest amount possible for optimized Critical Damage. However, if you want to restore up to at least 150 SP by the 2nd rotation, you will have to have at least 400% SP Recovery.

Use Storm of Petals to Target Buff Elemental Attack Damage
Storm of Petals is essentially the skill to use if you plan on using Tempest Riko alongside another Wind-based Character like Frostgale Mont as it increases the amount of Wind damage they inflict to the opponent hit with the skill.
However, if you were able to get her A1, you can use Storm of Petals on any team as the buff now applies to any attribute damage. This becomes especially potent if fighting against a single enemy!
Use Arrival of Spring for General Buffs
Arrival of Spring is the go-to second skill cycle for Tempest Riko as its general party-wide Attack buff is a simple but highly effective damage supplement. Furthermore, this becomes even more potent as you stack even higher critical multipliers to Tempest Riko.
However, if you were able to get her A1, Arrival of Spring is mainly used alongside Sweeper teams that specialize in wiping out a mob of Shadows!
Highlight to Prepare Massive Burst and Restore Party SP
Since Tempest Wind's highlight is a massive damage buff that lasts only for two turns, only use it if the main DPS of the team is fully buffed and is set up to unleash their most damaging skill. Doing so will absolutely bump up the Critical Damage your DPS will dole out!

You want to max all of her skills except her Thief Tactics as much as you can because she uses all of it all the time depending on your team. However, if you need to prioritize then maxing out Blossoming Season first is ideal as this is the skill she will mainly rotate around.
After that, depending on the team you will mainly use her, go for either Arrival of Spring or Storm of Petals, but the former should take the priority as this is generally used more!

Tempest Riko's best cards are Creation and Worry for a synergistic combination of SP Recovery and Critical Damage, which is how her skills scale in terms of potency.
For her main and sub stats, her Star Slot should always be Crit Mult. because her skills scale with it. Secondly, her Sky Slot should be SP Recovery as she needs at least 200% SP Recovery for her to recover to 200 in only two turns, which is essential to max out her Blossoming Season.
The rest of her stats should be offensive, so aim for Crit Mult., SP Recovery, Speed, and Attack. Mainly, it would be better to focus on Crit Mult. Specifically to maximize her buff outputs!

The best mindscape to prioritize for Tempest Riko is enhancing her Skill 3, Blossoming Season, and Skill 2, Arrival of Spring, to further increase the Crit Buffs she provides for the team. After that, prioritize increasing the Crit. Mult% node as this is essential for maximizing your damage output with her buffs.
Once you've leveled those mindscape nodes, upgrade her Skill 1 and Highlight. Lastly, increase her survivability by increasing her HP, and then prioritize the Attack+ last since this stat barely improves on her game plan.

While Tempest Wind is fully functional at Awareness 0, getting her Awareness 1, Fragrant Gale, makes her a massively flexible Strategist by allowing her to buff up any attribute damage with Storm of Petals while also improving on Critical Hit Damage. Furthermore, it makes her Arrival of Spring skill specialized for clearing mobs of Shadows with Sweepers!
If you wish to streamline her playstyle even more, you can opt to invest to Awareness 6, Full Blossom. Her Blossoming Season now buffs the whole party while making Storm of Petals proc whenever your main DPS attacks the first time.

Tempest Riko's goal in this team is to buff up F. Mont's single-target damage output by inflicting Falling Petals with Storm of Petals and improving on Critical Hits.
- T. Wind: She will set up F. Mont's damage with additional Critical Hit and buff up Wind Damage.
- Howler: She is the sub DPS that has ability to reduce the defense of the enemy and buff wind and follow-up damage taken.
- F. Mont: She is the main DPS of this team and her only goal is to follow her skill rotation to deal Single-Target damage.
- Phoebe: Phoebe specializes in doubling down the Wind damage in two-turn intervals.
Wonder will start with Vishnu with the Ex Machina dagger for more Wind damage buff. He first uses Dionysus to provide more crit rate and crit damage buffs, then to Vishnu to use Wind of Nirvana to buff Wind damage. The third turn will then be used by Dominion and casting Cohesion to provide a massive damage boost.

Tempest Riko's goal in this team is to buff up Joker's AoE damage output by increasing ATK with Arrival of Spring and improving on Critical Hits.
- T. Wind: She will set up Joker's damage with additional Critical Hit to make full use of Joker's two-turn mechanic.
- Rin: She is the sub DPS that has ability to reduce the defense of the enemy and buff Curse damage taken.
- Joker: He is the main DPS of this team and his only goal is to follow his skill rotation to deal AoE damage.
- Phoebe: Phoebe specializes in doubling down the Curse damage in two-turn intervals.
Wonder will start with Alice with the Ex Machina dagger for more Curse damage buff to the party. He first uses Dionysus to provide more crit rate and crit damage buffs, then uses Alice to increase Curse Damage with Die for Me. Surt is then used to cast Marakunda occassionally!

Yes, Tempest Riko is a must-pull if you have resources to spare. Tempest Riko still proves to be one of the best Strategists the game has to offer due to her simple but highly effective kit that revolves around Critical Hits and SP Recovery!
This means she can be utilized outside of her initial attribute, meaning almost any team that relies on burst damage will gladly slot her in. Furthermore, she will not be included in the 6-month banner, so she is limited until her banner receives a rerun.
