Zouchouten is a unique boss that can be found in three different locations inside Shadow Miyazawa's Palace in Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X). Check out the essential details, including the weaknesses and resistances of Zouchouten, as well as the best team composition here.

The Zouchouten fights recommend players to tackle this boss with a team that is at least Level 54. However, as the enemies in Shadow Miyazawa's palace have a difficulty spike compared to Shadow Kiuchi, we highly recommend you get Wonder and his teammates to Level 60 instead.

How to Beat Zouchouten
Enemies Vary Based on Location
Depending on where you find them within the Castle Keep Mid-Level in Miyazawa's Palace, the enemies accompanying Zouchouten will vary. Make sure to keep track which boss fight has which allies for Zouchouten, and team play
Defeat Enemies with Growth of All Things
At the start of his turn, Zouchouten will grant a stack of Growth to a random ally of his, and is a permanent buff thabnks to the unique Growth of All Things passive. Whoever has this stack deals more damage, but will receive more damage of the same percentage.
Fortunately, the Persona-user that kills the monster will gain the Growth stacks that enemy has. This will significantly increase DPS output, so make use of it before the opponent becomes strong enough to one-hit KO your team.
Abuse Baton Passes and All-Out Attacks
For the Zouchouten Boss Fights involving Jack Frost and the Ki brothers, target all of their weaknesses and deal as much damage as you can through Baton Passes and All-Out Attacks. The Growth stacks, though equally powerful once your characters have it, will also make enemies stronger as long as they gain more of it.
Consider this a race against time, and the Growth Stacks that you get are ways to “beat the clock”.
One of the Jack Frosts can Transform into King Frost and Black Frost
In the Jack Frost fight, if one of the two Jack Frosts accompanying Zouchouten receives a Growth stack, they become King Frost during their next turn. This effectively changes that enemy's affinities, with most crucuially losing its only weakness in Fire.
Eventually, the other Jack Frost transforms into a Black Frost if the fight gets too long, and it has a lot of resistances, including a Repel to Fire among others.

Jack-o'-Lantern Summoned can Debuff Black Frost
At the later stage of the Jack Frost fight while a Black Frost is on the field, a Jack-o'-Lantern will appear for only one turn. It's weak to three elements, so it should not be hard to defeat.
In this case, you have to defeat it as fast as you can; beating it before it leaves heavily debuffs the Black Frost on the field, turning it back into a regular Jack Frost.
Zouchouten-Only Fight Transforms into Asura
For the solo Zouchouten fight, to compensate for not having allies, he now has two Down Points and starts off with 10 Growth stacks from his Growth of All Things. He gains 5-8 stacks each turn (up to a maximum of 30), but loses a stack each time he's attacked. If he falls below 8 Stacks, he immediately gets 10 Stacks of Growth.
Once four turns have passed or he gets 20 stacks of Growth, Zouchouten then transforms into Asura. Your goal is to balance the number of stacks so by the time he transforms into Asura on his 4th action, the number of Stacks he has is mitigated.

You can theoretically switch out Cattle for Marian, but here's here to triger the Fire Harmony to boost Panther's overall damage. After all, the Jack Frosts are weak to Fire, and minus Black Frost everyone else is neutral to the same element.
Fleuret can have quite the DPS once he has enough Right to Fight stacks. Saber Surge will be quite powerful as the fight progresses.

Much like other boss fights that brought along the Ki brothers, each of them have their respective weaknesses. So bring a team with a wide coverage, including Wonder's own Personas.
Fleuret will be the DPS against Zouchouten itself, while Wonder and Closer will deal with the coverage. Marin and Puppet will keep the team alive as the others can continue to deal damage.

The solo boss fight against Zouchouten is a race against time to defeat it before it can get enough stacks to transform into Asura.
Bring your hardest-hitting characters into the team, but we highly suggest Joker for his Extra Action mechanic, and Fleuret for his high crit rate thanks to Saber Surge. Bring along Marian and Puppet for survivability's sake.
General Tips
See If Your Members Are Leveled
Make sure that your team is not underleveled and under-equipped. Make sure to have your Phantom Thieves at least around the Minimum or Recommended Level for the boss fight.

Equip and Level Revelation Cards
At this point in the game, players need to have a couple of Revelation Cards equipped to each of the Phantom Thieves. The added stats from the main stat and substats will be of great help for damage checks and tanking damage.
Check Your Team Formation
Before you head into the fight, remember to adjust your team comp properly as well as their turn order! The game will even bring you to the Team screen just before the boss fight properly begins.
Make sure to bring the right people for the job. Otherwise, the fight will be a lot harder before you realize you are using the wrong team.
Activate Food Buffs
Before you go into the fight, you could consume some of the home cooking Wonder makes in the kitchen. The food he makes will grant the team some buffs that will last for a certain number of battles. These include boss fights like in the Palace or in Mementos!
