Asura Tips
Build a Team Around an Assassin
Getting an Assassin in your team and focusing your build around it will help you defeat specific Shadows quickly. It will also bring Asura out of the fight and allow you to clear the stage with only a few actions.
You can also bring Marian or Shun for protection and deal some decent damage.
Defeat Bishamonten and Zouchouten First
You can focus on taking out Bishamonten and Zouchouten as they have special skills that will shift elemental resistances and increase attack each turn.
Check the Battle Effects
Always check the Battle Effects when taking on a stage. Some types of characters cannot be assigned when trying to clear a specific stage.
Trumpeter Tips
Build a Team Around a Sweeper
Unlike Asura, the fight with Trumpeter is best approached with a team that revolves around a Sweeper because all of the Horsemen have the Soul Link mechanic. The best options are either Fox or Joker, depending on which character you are most comfortable with!
This mechanic means that damaging an inflicted on one is shared between all units on the field, meaning all of the AoE damage you deal will essentially stack for each Horseman. Trumpeter itself is fragile and will often die with a single turn, but it remains untargetable until you clear all four Horsemen two times.
Have a Means of Inflicting Spiritual Ailments
The glaring problem during the Trumpeter part is its Horn of Ruin attack that almost guarantees a party wipe after all of the horsemen sound their horns. However, you can delay this by inflicting any of the horsemen with Spiritual Ailments, which leads to them skipping their turn.
To reliably inflict this, you can have a team that either has Moko (Sleep) or Rin (Forget), or have a Persona that specializes in inflicting these ailments, such as Skadi!
Make Use of AoE Debuffs
Given that the horsemen have Soul Link, using AoE debuffs such as Marakunda from Surt will exceptionally increase your damage output by essentially doubling your attack power.

The premium team to fight Asura is a Nuke Team that focuses on single-target damage composed of Queen, Vino, Marian, and Phoebe! These are their roles during the battle:
- Queen: She will be your primary DPS who is assigned to deal with key targets.
- Vino: She provides elemental ailments to buff up Queen's damage output.
- Marian: She single-handedly keeps the party healthy with her massive heals.
- Phoebe: Buffs the team's Nuke damage consistently while providing SP.
As for Wonder, he will prime the damage of Queen with Bishamonten's Tower of Purification, and occasionally use Debilitate on targets with Nebiros. Additionally, Wonder can optionally provide survivability and additional Windswept with Norn's Wind Barrier!

The premium team to fight Trumpeter is a Curse Team that excels at clearing Soul Links composed of Joker, Rin, Marian, and Okyann! These are their roles during the battle:
- Joker: He will be your primary AoE DPS to quickly shred through the horsemen.
- Rin: She applies debuffs for Joker and inflicts Forget on either Red or Pale Rider.
- Marian: She single-handedly keeps the party healthy with her massive heals. She can be replaced with Moko for additional Sleep support!
- Okyann: Provides additional ailment accuracy for Alice and overall damage for the team.
As for Wonder, he will first apply Marakunda using Surt, and then use Alice to increase the Curse damage dealt by Joker. He will also act as the healer by utilizing Lakshmi's consistent single-target heals!

Asura
Asura is the first boss of this event. Asura doesn't have a weakness and will get the special skills of the Shadows that are sacrificed to summon him.
Plan which Shadows to take out first to ensure he doesn't get stronger each cycle and clear the stage faster!
Trumpeter
Trumpeter is the second boss of this event and was recently released on August 28, 2025. Trumpeter will remain untargetable as long as he is accompanied by the four Horsemen, all of which have their souls linked and will herald the Horn of Ruin!
What is Trial of Thorns?
Limited-Time Boss Challenge
Trial of Thorns is a boss challenge event where you can fight two bosses, Asura and Trumpeter. You can fight them on Fixed or Custom Difficulty and get rewards like Meta Jewels and Joy Medal that you can exchange for items and the 5 Star Wonder Weapons.
You can access the Trials of Thorn in the Events menu.

You can get a two 5 Star Weapons for Wonder when you get enough Joy Medals. You can also buy their shards, which you can use to forge the weapons and improve their stats.
