Combat revolves around using elemental weaknesses to knock down enemies and perform 1 Mores and All-Out Attacks. 1 Mores allow you to perform a bonus attack after knocking down an enemy, while All-Out Attacks are party-wide special attacks that can only be executed once all enemies are knocked down.

During a battle, you can click on the icons of both your teammates and enemies to view their strengths, weaknesses, and other stat details. Checking the weaknesses of each opponent at the start of the battle will help you determine your overall approach from the outset.

Highlights are basically the Ultimate ability of your Personas that can deal various effects once the Highlight Gauge is filled up. Make sure to use this effectively as they have a 4-turn cooldown after using it and cannot deal Critical Hits.
The Gun has a chance to knock an enemy down even if it is not weak to the Gun element. This can be used to line up an All-Out Attack when all enemies except one are Downed and you can't hit the remaining enemy's Weakness.
As the Gun has a limited amount of ammo for each character, it's best to save it for when you need to score a Down in a pinch!

When dealing with long fights, you will eventually run out of SP which is your main resource for performing Persona Skills. Use Guard on your turn to decrease damage taken and recover Down Points and SP.
How to Guard and Increase Defense

Knowing the Turn Order and how to manipulate it will help you breeze through each battle. You can increase the speed of your characters through items and buffs and make them move earlier than the enemies.
You can see the Turn Order through the icons on the upper left side of the screen.
