Version 3.1 Patch in Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X) will go live on January 22, 2026, and will feature the fourth fire character, Howler, alongside her Synergy Bond, a new area, and various updates! See the summary and the full patch notes here!

New Character: Howler
The newest character added to the game is Howler, an alternate version of Runa. She can further help with fire-centric or follow-up teams by inflicting defense down debuffs that further increase their damage while dealing single-target or AoE fire damage.
Runa Dogenzaka Character Guide
New Synergy: Runa Dogenzaka
A new character and synergy in the new update located in the Station Center of Shibuya, Runa Dogenzaka. Meet Runa to deepen her bond and earn rewards and synergy abilities that will give you discounts in shops.
New Map: Akihabara
Akihabara, which was inaccessible prior to the update, will finally be made available for players. You can purchase new items, gachapons, engage to new City Life activities and part-time jobs, and there will be new side stories to engage yourself in!
Crane Game
Another way to get collectibles will be added in the form of Crane Games, where you have a chance to get various plushies and toys so you can display it inside Wonder's house.
City Life Update: Maid Cafes
Engage yourself inside Maid Cafes to interact with maids and eat food to gain Kindness or work as a part-time cook to serve some dish for the customers and earn money!
New Event: Akihabara Mystery Map
Team-up with Runa to solve mysteries and explore Akihabara to help her get more ideas that will enrich Shibuya further. Complete the event to earn Meta Jewels, Kagura Bells, Mindscape Materials and a Handmade Shichi-kun Bag for Wonder!
New Event: Robo Challenge
Two gamemodes will be available in this limited time event where you solve puzzles in Puzzle Bots to get robots that you can use in Brawl Bots where you fight enemies with the assistance of your bots. Clear these stages to earn rewards such as Meta Jewels and Platinum Milicoins!
New Feature: Revelation Card Presets
You will now be able to create presets for your Revelation Cards that you can use in any of your character to easily assign them cards.
Daily Login Event
Login for a total of 7 days to earn 7 Platinum Tickets after the update goes live.
