| Recommended Level | Lv. 58 |
| Safer Recommended Level | Lv. 60~65 |
The Shadow Miyazawa fight recommends players to tackle this boss with a team that is at least Level 55. However, as Shadow Miyazawa's palace has a difficulty spike compared to Shadow Kiuchi, we highly recommend you get Wonder and his teammates to at least Level 60 instead.

After hitting Miyazawa a couple of times, he goes to the back and makes two copies of himself, all visibly similar to one another.
This officially marks the beginning of Phase 1. There are a couple of ways to find the real one as you lower his HP.
Look closely at the three Miyazawas on the field before you make your turn. One of them will visible shake, whle the other two have perfect posture before they make their move.
| Real Shadow Miyazawa | HP: 17,934 |
|---|---|
| Fake Shadow Miyazawa | HP: 15,372 |
Another way to check are the HP values of the character. The one you targeted will have the reduced HP meter, making it easier to target the real one.
At the beginning of the phase, you can check the HP value as well. The real Shadow Miyazawa happens to have higher HP at 17,937, compared to the fake Miyazawas that have 15,372 HP.

If you manage to hit the real Miyazawa, he's going to fret about being found out. Vice versa, Miyazawa will gloat when you end up hitting someone else other than the real one.

After defeating the real Shadow Miyazawa in Phase 1, he transforms into Aegipan in Phase 2. This is where the true boss fight begins.

At the start of the Phase, Shadow Miyazawa will already begin charging up his Ultimate: Clean Sweep attack for his next action.
There is no stopping this attack, so brace for it by shielding your team, or having someone heal the entire party after taking damage.

At the beginning of Phase 3, Shadow Miyazawa will begin hiding himself behind a Screen showing an oriental painting.

While Aegipan is in hiding, all of Shadow Miyazawa's affinities will be nullified. They will go back to normal once Miyazawa returns to the field.
Every time Miyazawa goes into hiding, he also inflicts one of your members with the Nuisance Ailment. Cure this ailment as soon as possible, as if the ailment remains after Miyazawa pops out again, Nuisance becomes Brainwashed. This will make that character occasionally attack one of your members at random.
You can circumvent this by making use of Soy's Icy Defense to try and taunt Miyazawa away from the others and make him get the ailment instead. Then heal it away either with one of Marian's heals, or by using an item that cleanes the debuff.

Once you make it to Phase 4, 2 Projectors will spawn right in front of the painting Miyazawa hides in. These are the trick into stopping Miyazawa from going back into hiding.

The Projectors are inanimate, so they do not attack. They are weak to Physical attacks, so take them down with Melee Attacks whenever you can.

Once the two Projectors are down, Shadow Miyazawa will become Dizzy and cannot move for a significant amount of time.
Take advantage of this time and deal as much damage as you possibly can to move to the next phase!
Phase 5 is the final Phase for the Shadow Miyazawa Boss Fight. This is the home stretch; go all out on the offensive!

During Aegipan's turn, there is a chance for him to summon 4 different swords on the field once he begins his turn. He will then begin charging up his next use of Ultimate: Clean Sweep.

All the swords are weak to Ice attacks, but you have to find the right one and defeat it. Look out for the sword that has an accessory hanging from the handle.
Doing so will cut the incoming attack's damage considerably, saving your team from a potential one-hit KO.

A special mention goes to Marian, the Bless Medic released in Version 1.1 for being the single best character for the Shadow Miyazawa fight.
She does not have any weakness against his attacks (which are Curse), can grant bonus HP on top of healing, and has cleanses in one of her heals and in her Highlight. If you managed to pull her in your account, make sure to have her ready to go.

As mentioned, Marian is the best healer in the game because of her cleanses in her Skill and Highlight. This is especially crucial if Soy ends up being Confused or Brainwashed starting on Phase 3.
Soy provides additional max HP and a heal through Icy Shield, and Mont will serve as the Ice DPS thanks to her Blade Dancer follow-up attack. Ice is especially needed in Phase 5 when he summons out the Demon Swords.
Wonder can make use of Bless Personas that are not weak to Curse attacks to trigger the Bless Harmony alongside the Ice Harmony.

Joker can resist Shadow Miyazawa's Curse attacks due to him being a Curse character himself. He can also inflict the Curse debuff, which deals damage over time based on 1% of his HP. This is especially crucial for Shadow Miyazawa, as each of his phases have some considerable bulk in his HP.
Wonder serves as the Ice character in the team, and with Soy that triggers the Ice Harmony. Marian continues her job as the healer here, and Puppet provides continuous shields.

This team comp is a little harder to operate, but when done right Skull's damage with God Hand Burst can let you skip entire phases and bypass some of Miyazawa's mechanics.
Soy being a permanent character lets him taunt away attacks from Skull, and both Leon and Puppet provide shields to keep him alive.

Make sure that your team is not underleveled and under-equipped. Make sure to have your Phantom Thieves at least around the Minimum or Recommended Level for the boss fight.
Leveling Guide: How to Level Up Fast

Because of his significance to the story, Shun Kano is a mandatory character for this boss fight. If you have him underleveled, players can use a Level 55 Soy automatically added to the party to help you with this boss fight.
Shun Kano (Soy) Character Guide

Due to how long the boss fight is with a total of 5 phases, it is highly recommended to bring some SP recovery items to use for characters that heavily use SP for their spells.

At this point in the game, players need to have a couple of Revelation Cards equipped to each of the Phantom Thieves. The added stats from the main stat and substats will be of great help for damage checks and tanking damage.

Before you head into the fight, remember to adjust your team comp properly as well as their turn order! The game will even bring you to the Team screen just before the boss fight properly begins.
Make sure to bring the right people for the job. Otherwise, the fight will be a lot harder before you realize you are using the wrong team.

Before you go into the fight, you could consume some of the home cooking Wonder makes in the kitchen. The food he makes will grant the team some buffs that will last for a certain number of battles. These include boss fights like in the Palace or in Mementos!
