This is a guide on the Friends System of Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X). Learn how to unlock the friends feature, how to get more friends, the benefits of having friends, and how to earn Assist Rewards here!

The Friends feature unlocks after becoming friends with Motoha Arai in the story. A pop-up will appear once you get home, saying that you've unlocked the Friends feature!

Open up the menu and look for the Friend List icon. Select it and add friends from the selection. If you know someone who plays the game, you can search up their Player ID to add them.
Friend Request Board

Setting up a powerful Assist Character in your profile will help you get more friend requests in the game. It's always beneficial to have friends with strong characters as they can help you clear harder stages!

The most beneficial aspect of having friends is to get Assist Rewards or Friendship Points. You can them to exchange items from the Assist Rewards exchange menu.
Note that you can only get 10 Assist Rewards each day.

You can invite or join your friends in a Guild (Companio). You will be able to take on content together and earn rewards to help you and your friends grow stronger.

You can also message your friends once you've become friends with them. This will allow you to contact them through the game even if they are offline.
Make sure not to use profane words or the game might take disciplinary actions on your account, like getting banned!

You can earn Assist Rewards if other players, even if they're not your friends yet, use your Assist Character in battle. You can earn 1 Assist Reward each time your character is used, up to 10 Assist Rewards a day.

You can also earn Assist Rewards if you use your friend's Assist Character. You can set it up before battle if you tap on the character on the rightmost side of the screen.
