Shiki-Ouji is a unique boss that can be found in three locations inside Shadow Miyazawa's Palace in Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X). Check out the essential details, including the changing weaknesses and resistances of Shiki-Ouji and its notable attacks, as well as the best team composition here.

| Recommended Level | Lv. 45 |
| Safer Recommended Level | Lv. 50 |
The Shiki-Ouji fights are set at Level 41, and the game recommends players to tackle this boss with a team that is at least Level 45. However, as the enemies in Shadow Miyazawa's palace have a difficulty spike compared to Shadow Kiuchi, we highly recommend you get Wonder to Level 50 instead.
At this point of the game, all of the essential nodes for team building are unlocked, from improvement materials to Revelation Cards. Be properly leveled, equipped and prepared first before tackling this boss.

There are three different locations to fight the Shiki-Ouji in Miyazawa's Palace. Each one has its own gimmick, so make sure to take note which one is located where before fighting.
A common trait shared among the three Shiki-Ouji boss fights is that they do not have any weaknesses at the start. Rather, they operate on a gimmick where their affinity to nullify Elemental damage changes, each with their own trigger for the change.

At the beginning of the fight, Shiki-Ouji will be neutral to every element. Starting in the next turn, however, it nullifies damage to five random elements for 1 turn.
For this, it is highly recommended to spread out the Elemental coverage of your team. Make sure to try to have no overlapping elements between your team before heading into this fight.

At the start of every turn, Shiki-Ouji also gains three stacks of a “Woe” Buff. One stack gets removed every time you get to deal damage to it.
The goal is to remove the “Woe” stacks before the turn ends. Leaving even just 1 stack grants a “Disaster” Charge, and once Shiki-Ouji gets 3 Charges it launches Karma: a powerful attack that deals heavy damage to all Phantom Thieves.

For the most part, Physical and Gun attacks will come in clutch in the off chance all of the elemental affinities your team carries will be nullified for the turn.
Do not worry about the damage check; prioritize removing the “Woe” buff. If the Physical or Gun elements are free, use them whenever you can.

As a last resort, consider having crafting some Spell Items to cover the elements your team does not have.
Though, consider this as a last resort. Not only does crafting need materials, it also needs quite a bit of money to get those materials. It would be better to invest in your team and upgrade them as much as possible before the fight begins.

At the beginning of the fight, Shiki-Ouji is completely nullified to all elements. However, for this boss fight, it changes every time Mokoi receives damage.
For this, it is highly recommended to spread out the Elemental coverage of your team. Make sure to try to have no overlapping elements between your team before heading into this fight.

For every affinity change it receives, Shiki-Ouji will receive +30% more damage. This stacks up to a maximum of 5 times, allowing the damage multiplier to reach 150%. With a well-built Assassin on the team, players can hit 10,000 damage with one attack easily with the proper set up.

Despite there being two enemies, consider running Assassin-type Phantom Thieves instead of having to split with Sweepers. After all, we need to attack Mokoi first before Shikouji can begin receiving damage first.
You can kill Mokoi duing the boss fight, but it will immediately revive itself afterwards. Remember, the target for this fight is Shiki-Ouji—Mokoi's purpose in the boss fight is to buff his Attack to hit harder.
Fortunately, nothing triggers whenever Mokoi is defeated and revived, so take advantage of this.

Once Shiki-Ouji receives Elemental Damage, that affinity becomes Null for the rest of the fight.
Because of this, it is highly discouraged to bring a Mono-Element team like the Fire team involving Panther, Key and Cattle. Even when running Orobas with Fire Break, that is still constant application of the debuff.

Much like the second Shiki-Ouji fight with Mokoi, it has a +30% damage received multiplier when its affinity changes. It caps out to 5 elements, which means a total of 150% increased damage.

Once you defeat its ally Koropokkuru, all the Elemental Affinity changes Shiki-Ouji received will be reset. All of them will go back to Neutral, but that also means the damage received multiplier will also reset.
Before defeating Koropokkuru, make sure to have planned out what to do when the reset happens.
Much like the second Shiki-Ouji fight, it becomes a grind game to deal damage while having to consider the mechanics of their gimmick.
This is why we highly recommend Assassins, to focus all of ther damage to one target.

As mentioned, you want to make sure your team and your Personas will have spread-out coverage with no overlapping Elements. At the same time, you do not want a drag-out fight against an enemy with lots of resistances.
Joker is the best single-target DPS in the game right now, but you cannot run him with Rin for the sake of coverage. Instead, try supporting him with others like Riddle and Leon. In case you have not pulled on Joker yet, Fleuret and Mont make for good alternatives—especially when they have more of their Awareness Levels.
Puppet is the best Navigator as of writing thanks to her ability to grant Shields to the enitre party.

The team comp against Shikouji and Momoi has Wonder being on DPS, with Rin as debuff support and Cattle as the healer. Fleuret is a good option here as sub-DPS, if not main DPS. Its wind affinity him being able to knock down Mokoi for a moment due to its Wind weakness, before unleashing attacks on Sikiouji.
If you do not have Rin to debuff, a second Assassin like Mont and Skull will provide coverage. Soy can act as a tank if you do not want to run Cattle, and Leon can make Soy nigh unkillable with his shield doubling with Puppet's.

The third boss has the team comp against Shikouji & 2 Koropokkuru. You could try to take down the Koropokkuru first, but Ann is not a good choice as you want to keep one of them alive so that you can do the affinity reset twice.
Wonder can serve as a fire DPS with Orthrus, but it would be better to stick with the Assassin strategy. Joker is great here to proc Extra Action, and Soy and Leon should deal with tanking hits through shields and taunts.

Make sure that your team is not underleveled and under-equipped. Make sure to have your Phantom Thieves at least around the Minimum or Recommended Level for the boss fight.
Leveling Guide: How to Level Up Fast

Before you head into the fight, remember to adjust your team comp properly as well as their turn order! The game will even bring you to the Team screen just before the boss fight properly begins.
Make sure to bring the right people for the job. Otherwise, the fight will be a lot harder before you realize you are using the wrong team.

Before you go into the fight, you could consume some of the home cooking Wonder makes in the kitchen. The food he makes will grant the team some buffs that will last for a certain number of battles. These include boss fights like in the Palace or in Mementos!
