The Reroll process takes quite a bit of time to properly do, as most of the required functions to get some of the characters are locked behind story progression.

There are also some characters that can directly obtained, either through story progression or account progression.

Try to Get a Character and their Signature Weapon

If you are committed to reroll accounts, the goal is to get at least one character with their signature weapon. Ideally, that character must be a 5-star character among the current pool.

How to Reroll

You Get Two 5 Star Characters for Starting the Game

P5 Phantom X - Panther
P5 Phantom X - Skull
P5 Phantom X - Mona

You get to choose between Panther, Skull and Mona in two different instances. Meaning, you can start the game with two members of the Phantom Thieves right off the bat.

  1. Complete Part 1 of Lufel's Business Plan
  2. Roll 50 times in the Tutorial Banner, then choose your 5-star character.

Best Starting 5-Star: Who to Pick?

Not Recommended to Reroll on Limited Banner

Unless the character on rate-up is top tier in their role and/or element, it is highly discouraged to reroll heavily for a specific character.

Even with rewards for starting the game, which includes log-in bonuses, there are not that many resources at the start to pull enough to get the limited-time rate-up character.

Do At Least Tutorial Banner Rolls

At the very least, players are recommended to do the Tutorial Banner Rolls first before rerolling to get a free 5-star character from the Phantom Thieves. They are good enough to help progress through the early game of Persona 5: The Phantom X.
