Trial of the Astrolabe is a brand new game mode in Persona 5: The Phantom X first introduced in Version 3.0 that rewards Mindscape materials. See what challenges can the players face and what rewards are obtainable here!
List of Contents

Trial of the Astrolabe acts as a new endgame mode that players can challenge themselves using their entire roster of Phantom Thieves.
Like the Velvet Trials and Trials from the Sea of Souls, it can be accessed anytime as an additional game mode.

Every week, there will be 13 different battles called Stella that players can clear, and each one is harder than the last with stronger and higher-leveled enemies.
There are only a limited amount of times you can fight each Quest, so have your team be the best version of themselves with Weapons, Skills and Revelation Cards all leveled up as high as they can be.

There are three types of Stella players will encounter going through this game mode. The first is the Guardian Stella, which has standard difficulty among the three types of nodes here and is what you will need to complete in order to get to the other types of Stella.
The second is the Lord Stella, of which there are three scattered across the routes. This is a more challenging fight as the conditions for available buffs get a little more specific compared to Guardian Stellae.
The Fate Stella is only unlockable if you push through the middle route, and can be considered the most difficult boss of the game mode. On top of the special buff requirements, the boss will also have a special mechanic in place to keep players on their toes!

Each Phantom Thief now has a counter above their head called Willpower, and it signifies how many times a player can use that character. Once that counter reaches 0, they are out of commission for the rest of the weekly challenge.

Players can look at the conditions for each fight before starting the Trial of the Astrolabe. This gives you ample time to prepare ahead on your team compositions and who to consider as alternatives if the best picks are unavailable or at risk of being downed for the rest of the challenge.
Whatever damage the Phantom Thieves received during their last battle will be carried over to the next time they are used in later nodes. Take in mind their current HP when you bring over a character used in previous battles!

Most of the rewards obtained in Trial of the Astrolabe will involve various materials to unlock more of a Phantom Thief's Mindscape!
Try to at least do a couple of the early challenges in order to be able to unlock Mindscape Expansions of your best and favorite characters!
