Current Nightmare's Gateway Rules
| Rule | Effect |
|---|---|
| Devourer of Dreams | After the boss takes a certain amount of damage, it will enter a weakened state. Attack it while it's weakened to gain extra points. |
| Multidimensional Dreamscape (Active) |
With every turn, the intensity of the boss's attacks will increase, as will your point gain rate. |
How to Unlock Nightmare's Gateway
Join a Companio and Reach Level 40
First off, you must join any Companio to see the gateway itself. However, accessing it will still be barred until you are Level 40.
After reaching Level 40 and progressing through Miyazawa's Palace, you will receive a sidequest called "Erosion by Nightmare" that should fully unlock the gateway for you to participate in the Nightmare's Gateways!

General Tips for Nightmare's Gateway
Utilize Companio Assists
If you deem that a specific character can help you clear the last stretch of points, coordinate with your Companio so that they can set the optimal teammate for you to optimize your point acquisition.
However, it is best that you join a competent Companio as you can only get assistance from your guild when facing the Nightmare's Gateways!
How to Join Companio and Benefits
Design Your Team Around Weaknesses
For the most part, all Nightmare's Gateways are designed around being weak or vulnerable to a specific element or playstyle. Make sure to study the enemy intel after selecting the gateway before you set your team since you will need to reset your score if you plan to change team members.
Set Presets for Each Affinity
To future-proof your team compositions against new Nightmare's Gateways, opt to fix up your team presets designed around certain affinity groups. To do so, press the Preset button on the top right and this should allow you to choose your desired team composition efficiently!
Use Food Buffs
As the Nightmare's Gateways are based around dealing as much damage as possible to build up points, every small but additional percentage to your stats counts. Food buffs such as additional +8% Attack from the Sweet Kinako Mochi can go a long way!

Based on your Companio's ranking in the season, you will receive more Companion Coins and a season-exclusive badge to show off!
The ranking for your Companio is based on the amount of accumulated points of all of your members, so make sure to join an active Companio if you want to reach the higher ranks.
Companio Coins
The Companio Coins you receive can be exchanged for a bunch of goodies that are essential for your account's growth. Items such as Gold Tickets for banner pulls, high rarity Revelation Cards, and Sennight Inferno and All In weapon shards.
What is Nightmare's Gateway?
Houses Sinister Threats to Humanity
As described by Marthym, the shadows found inside the Nightmare's Gateway are sinister threats to the safety of humanity. When not addressed or defeated early on, Marthym said that dire consequences will befall the players.
Companio Raid System
As a gameplay mechanic, Nightmare's Gateway is essentially an endgame mechanic resembling raids that Companios can participate in to get juicy rewards such as Meta Jewels, Revelation Cards, and Coins to spend on the Companio Shop!
