Friends can not join your world in Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X), but there are still multiplayer features in the game. Find out more about how multiplayer works and how you can do co-op here!

Is there Multiplayer?
There is Multiplayer, But No World Sharing
There is multiplayer in the game, but it is limited. There is no world sharing in this game so you won't be able to visit a friend's Shibuya.
The only location where you can actively interact with another player is through Companio.
All Multiplayer Features
Adding Friends
Open the Friends menu on your phone and select the Add Friend button to add your friends. You can use a player's name or ID to add them, or just choose randomly from the list that will be generated for you.
Likewise, you can also add friends by accepting requests.

Check Out the Friend Request Message Board
You can check out the Friend Request Message Board to see if there are any players looking for friends! You can also post your ID if you're the one looking for friends.
Assist Characters and Rewards
Assign Assist Characters To Help Your Friends Out
Assist Characters are assigned units by players that they can loan out to their friends when doing battles. You can assign your Assist Character by opening your Profile and clicking the rightmost character card.
Supporting your friends with your Assist Character will earn you Assist Rewards.
Earn Assist Rewards to Exchange for Items
Earned Assist Rewards or Friend Points can be exchanged for items in the Assist Rewards window of the Exchange. You can earn up to 10 Points per day.
Borrow Characters from Friends
You can borrow your Friends Assist Characters to support you by clicking the Assist button on the party set up menu. Doing this will swap out one of your units with the Assist Character.
Use Capsule Exchange to Trade Collectibles
After unlocking the Capsule Machine Mechanic from Shichi-kun in Station Square, you will now be able to collect small figurines by doing gacha on the Capsule Machines around the Map.
Trade collectibles with your friends by opening the Capsule Exchange window on the Friend List.
Join a Companio (Guild)
Companio is the guild system that the game uses. This is a separate world where players can come and interact with each other. This includes a Raid mechanic called Nightmare's Gateway that you can unlock once you reach level 40.
