Chord is easily the current best Strategist to include in most teams as she shakes up the meta with consistent access to Highlights and overall single-target buffs. She can be used in most teams as they are commonly composed with one main DPS in mind, meaning Chord is essentially a no-brainer inclusion, especially with her skill improvements!

For Chord's A0 skill rotation, first assign a Costar using Unison Notes to buff their overall damage. After that, use Catchy Hook to immediately use their Highlight!
The Awareness 1 variant, however, can start with a Distortion early for Shock since you will have a Costar at the start of the fight. The rotation goes the same with Catchy Hook, but be sure to re-apply Costar on the third turn!

Select a Costar Using Unison Notes
To get started with Chord's game plan, you will have to use Unison Notes on your desired character, preferably your main DPS. This will assign them as a Costar, which leads to a general attack increase and the ability to use Catchy Hook on the next turn.
Buff and Activate Costar's Highlight
Chord's bread-n'-butter skill, Catchy Hook, becomes available for use after assigning a Costar. Using Catchy Hook allows you to use your Costars Highlight as a turn, which often leads to an easy setup for your DPS or downright end the encounter.
Additionally, Highlights used through Catchy Hook do not apply to the general cooldown of Highlights. However, do keep in mind that Catchy Hook has its own Cooldown after being used; incrementally being higher with consecutive uses.
Apply Shock With Distortion
While Catchy Hook is on cooldown, it is advisable to use Distortion to apply the Shock ailment on your opponents to increase the chances of a Critical Hit. Not only will you deal decent damage with this skill, but you set your team up for success later on while waiting for another Highlight!

You will want to level up Catchy Hook first since it is her strongest skill. Afterwards, focus on increasing Unison Notes to further increase the Attack buff you give to a unit.
Furthermore, you can level up Thief Tactics to increase the buff you give your allies. You can leave Distortion as it does not increase the chances of Shock and only increases its damaging capabilities.

For generally clearing Palaces in a fast manner, a Curse team that is supported by Chord easily clears groups of enemies quickly! These are their roles during a battle:
- Joker: He will be your primary DPS who can clear waves efficiently.
- Rin: She applies debuffs for Joker and can occasionally support with spiritual ailments.
- Chord: She massively buffs Joker's attack and allows her to set up his Highlight for an early Extra Turn.
- Phoebe: Buffs the team's Curse damage consistently while providing SP.
As for Wonder, he will first apply Marakunda using Surt, and then use Alice to increase the Curse damage dealt by Joker. He will also act as the healer by utilizing Lakshmi's consistent single-target heals!

If you are against a tough boss that you want to quickly burst down, a Nuke team that is supported by Chord should be your best bet! These are their roles during a battle:
- Queen: She will be your primary DPS who is assigned to deal with key targets.
- Vino: She provides elemental ailments to buff up Queen's damage output.
- Chord: She massively buffs Queen's attack and allows her to set up her Highlight early for maximum Elemental Ailments.
- Phoebe: Buffs the team's Nuke damage consistently while providing SP.
As for Wonder, he will prime the damage of Queen with Bishamonten's Tower of Purification, and occasionally use Debilitate on targets with Nebiros. Additionally, Wonder is essentially the healer of this team with Titania's Reassuring Embrace!

If you were not able to get either Joker or Queen, a Fire team that is supported by Chord should be a great budget option for maximizing her. These are their roles during a battle:
- Panther: She will be your primary DPS who mainly uses Trifire or Falling Sun.
- Key: He consistently inflicts Burns for Anne while increasing the team's Fire Damage.
- Chord: She massively buffs Panther's attack and allows her to set up her Highlight early for a guaranteed burn and increased Fire damage.
- Phoebe: Buffs the team's Fire damage consistently while providing SP.
As for Wonder, he will first apply Burn with Baphomet's Red-Hot, and then use Surt for his Marakunda. He will also act as the healer by utilizing Lakshmi's consistent single-target heals!

Yes, For Overall Offense and Highlights
Generally, Chord should be a must pull as she makes teams that rely on one DPS to carry the team even better. Furthermore, she will remain in the meta for a long while given that she is the quintessential support for most teams!
However, if you find her uninteresting, you can wait for the future Strategists. In the end, pull for the characters that you want, and you will enjoy playing.
